Last year, an idea to bring a community-wide Christmas dinner back to our city was coupled with action through Bridging RVA. We're thrilled to announce that this year's Christmas Day Dinner will be held at Temple Beth Ahabah from 11am to 2pm. If you and/or your organization would like to partner with us, click on one of the buttons below to make a donation. Volunteer opportunities will be shared by December 1st.
We look forward to serving people with you this Christmas!
Bridging RVA is partnering with local Starbucks to provide coffee for the Giving Heart Feast at the Richmond Convention on Thanksgiving Day. We're looking for 6 teams to pick up coffee from 6 Starbucks stores in Chesterfield County. A large car, SUV or truck is preferrable. The total time commitment is 2.5 hours. Here's how it works: Each team will arrive at their assigned store at 9:15 and pickup coffee. The coffee will be delivered to the Richmond Convention Center at 10am. Once you have delivered the coffee, you are free to head off to your Thanksgiving feast.
We've reached our maximum number of volunteers for this initiative. Please check back and join us for the Christmas Day Dinner
It's hard to believe that hundreds of children in the Richmond area are sleeping on floors, sofas, chairs and sharing beds. Two years ago, we were able to generate the funds and volunteers to deliver 100 beds to children in need. Check out the story.
Due to the incredible generosity of the Huguenot Trail Rotary Club and donations from individuals, we are 1/2 way to reaching our goal. The cost of each bed, including frame, mattress, boxspring, sheets, pillow and blanket, is $225. You can make a difference right here in our community by doanting and/or volunteering below.
Help us spread the word.
Connecting and equipping leaders in the faith-based and nonprofit worlds to advance common good.
Are you doing your best work as a leader, yet find yourself wondering if you're truly effective and making a difference. Have you ever felt stuck, powerless to change your environment?
In The Emotionally Healthy Leader, bestselling author and pastor Peter Scazzero shows leaders how to develop a deep, inner life, examining its profound implications for surviving stress, planning and decision making, building teams, creating healthy culture, influencing others, and much more.
Join us for lunch and a 3 hour introduction to Emotionally Healthy Leadership by Peter Scazzero. Emotionally heealthy leadership impacts the leader, those they lead and our community as a whole.
Bridging RVA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution. However, we do recognize the value and positive contributions of clergy people in our community. Our goal for these lunches is simple.......
- Our way of saying thanks for all you do to advance good in our community.
- A neat way to connect with other local faith leaders in your community.
Feel free to bring a friend or share this invitation with others.

We're working with 6 south of the river RVA Starbucks on this community impact initiative. The employees will gather with Bridging RVA for a team building exercise. Through this experience we will create and install 3 mini-libraries in underserved communities in the RVA. For more information, drop us an email.

We want to be certain that every child in the RVA receives a gift this Christmas. We're working with schools, churches, businesses and other organizations to identify and meet the needs. Our Bridging RVA Santa will be visiting local hospitals and homes in the RVA.
You're welcome to join Santa and his distribution team on Christmas day! Send us a note!
We need 10-12 volunteers to pick up coffee from different Starbucks in the southside and deliver to the Richmond Convention Center for the Giving Heart Feast. It's a 3 hour commitment to serve those in our community without a place to go for Thanksgiving. Fill out the form and someone will contact you.
There are currently more than 300 children in the RVA who are on Beds For Kids waiting list for a bed. That's right, 300+ children in our community are sleeping on floors, chairs, sofas, or sharing beds. Beds For Kids is a 501(c)3 dedicated to providing beds to children in need. 100% of your donation will go towards the actual cost of beds. That's right, 100%! Our goal is to rally the RVA in support of a "100 Beds for 100 Kids" distribution blitz on September 27.
Have an extra clean twin bed you'd like to donate? Send us a note, we'll pick it up. Make a tax deductible donation or volunteer below. Together, we can make a huge difference in the lives of children right here in the RVA!
