Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher Appreciation week is a time of the year when parents and PTA groups thank educators who are making a difference in the lives of our children and community at large, with small gifts of appreciation. There are 1000+ teachers in our area who are working at Title 1 schools. Generally speaking, Title 1 schools are serving the children of economically challenged families and communities. As a result, many of these teachers receive little to no appreciation duting Teacher Appreciation Week.
Last year, we pulled together people and resouces to appreciate the faculty and staff at 2 of the most challenged Title 1 schools in our area. These teachers were overwhelmed by the outpouring of gratitude they experienced. This year, we're feeling the need to expand this initiative to 21 of the most challenged Title 1 schools in our area. Our goal is to provide lunch, snacks, small gifts and t-shirts with school logos as a way of saying, "We appreciate and value the difference you're making in the lives of children in our community."
Make a donation and/or volunteer below. We have opportunities for school, corporate, faith-based and civic groups to participate. Send us an email at info@BridgingRvA.com to learn more.
Together, we can make this HAPPEN!
